  6. Jeffy The Flying Prong says:

    Hey Guys
I know you have a few up your sleeves already but can can you please find it in your hearts to do one of the following : (if not all) for a HUGE fan of the show?

To have a break from all the overbearing, ball-busting testosterone on the show, I thought it might be refreshing to try one of these out (for the ladies of course):

    SEXY 90s THRILLERS:
Fatal Attraction pretty much kick-started this genre, and it seemed to reach it’s apex, if not it’s nadir, in the 90s. Some of these are actually still good:
    Sliver (1993)
    Disclosure (1994)
    Basic Instinct (1992)
    Indecent Proposal (1993)
    Striptease (1996)
    Final Analysis (1992)
    Color of Night (1994)

Also, you seem to be sorely lacking in options for leading ladies, so indulge me in one of my favourites from the 80s and 90s – the awesomely funny, likeable and wonderfully blonde Goldie Hawn.
    Best of GOLDIE HAWN

    Private Benjamin (1980)
Seem Like Old Times (1980) – Starring with another powerhouse of the 80s – Chevy Chase. I remember this one fondly. Does it still hold up? A revisit is in order.
    Wildcats (1986)
    Overboard (1987)
Bird On A Wire (1990) (Who Has The Biggest Hair Competition – Mel Gibson or Goldie Hawn?)
    Housesitter (1992)
    Death Becomes Her (1992)

    Last but not least,
    KURT RUSSELL
I know you’ve done a few Kurt Russell films but there’re so many more golden oldies out there! Including:

    Escape From New York (1981)
Big Trouble In Little China (1986)
Overboard (1987) (Obviously one of my favourites)
    Tequila Sunrise (1988)
Tango & Cash (1989) Balls-to-the-wall tetosterone, this one.
    Stargate (1994)
    Executive Decision (1996)
    Breakdown (1997)

I’m going to spam you with these ones until they’re added! Love the show, keep up the good work boys.

  7. El Roberto says:

What about the best of Adam Sandler?

    Big Daddy
    Happy Gilmore
    The Waterboy
    The Wedding Singer
    Billy Madison

  8. Donald Head says:

    Police Academy
    The Naked Gun
    Add two more titles.

    • Jeffy The Flying Prong says:

I concur, this is a great idea. I can think of a few more, 80s and 90s Spoof Movies:

Airplane! (1980) (“Flying High” here in Oz)
      Hot Shots! (1991)
      Hot Shots! Part Deux (1993)
      Loaded Weapon 1 (1993)
Robin Hood: Men In Tights (1993)

  9. Jeremy says:

I’m kinda late to the game here, but really enjoy the podcast! Has anyone suggested a review of The Goonies? Not sure what subject it would fall under, maybe kids’ adventure movies? I would love to hear your guys’ take on it and if you think it holds up today. One of my favorite movies growing up and is an adventure that many of us 80’s born kids would have loved to be a part of. Keep up the good work!

  10. Kyle says:

Put the bunny in the box and review ConAir!!

    • Dick Ebert says:

We had Con Air in best of Nicolas Cage, and it got killed: The Rock-12.5%, Face/Off-18.4%, Con Air-10.1%, Raising Arizona-59.0%. Can you recommend three other movies (with common theme) to include with Con Air?

  11. Donald Head says:

Guys gotta say I love the podcast. First of I’m a huge Eastwood fan so I would love for you to add maybe Heartbreak Ridge or perhaps Firefox. I would especially be interested in Big D’s views on either of these movies.

  12. Michael says:

What an excellent podcast. I am only just catching up, but has the films; *Batteries Not Included, Masters Of The Universe, and Romancing The Stone, been up for voting yet?

  13. Bob Hawthorne says:

Hey guys why don’t you review one of the House horror movies from the 80’s. I would suggest House 2- the second story, I just checked and they are all on YouTube.

  14. Ben Downes says:

What about Space Camp. That was ahh hmm good when I was a kid. Not sure how good it is now….

Would love to see Top Gun, Ferris Bueller, Breakfast Club, Valley Girl, Can’t Buy Me Love, Just One of the Guys, License to Drive, Private School, River’s Edge. Some of them are probably on your list already….

  23. John RH says:

Being a slightly older vintage than you fine gentlemen, I would love to hear your take on a comedy classic from my uni days – ‘Airplane’ (1980) – or as we knew it here in Oz, ‘Flying High’.

“Best comedy of 1980?” – ‘Shirley you can’t be serious!”

ps – After enjoying you’re epic WestWorld casting, I’m loving reliving my youth by listening to your retakes of 1980 film classics – great work

  24. Tom says:

Freaking loved Less Than Zero… can’t wait to hear your take on it. Please add Doc Hollywood and The Hard Way to the list of future movies to review as well. As a Blockbuster veteran (12 years, MOD) I will say you guys do a great job…. keep up the good work!!!

  25. Charlotta dupont says:

I’m watching Lethal Weapon right now, I feel your list is incomplete without it! I mean, what does Murtaugh think the kill radius of a pineapple grenade is? Also, Riggs’ with the ‘sniper’ rifle? He hits each one center mass with the shortest barrelled rifle I’ve ever seen at a range of, what, a half mile? Ugh! Ridiculous. I can’t even begin with Gary fucking Busey.

  26. Stefania says:

    Thank you, nice read.

  27. Tiffany says:

Please add “My Cousin Vinny.” I am a current law student and I watch this movie to get ready for Mock Trial. This movie is the reason I am in law school now.

    • Dick Ebert says:

Tiffany, We have gladly added My Cousin Vinny to this weeks listener poll. Make sure to have your friends vote and keep listening.
