Dazed and Confused (1993)

Dazed and Confused Quote: “Alright, alright, alright!” – Wooderson

Alright, alright, alright — it’s time for the movie that put Matthew McConaughey on the map, turned Ben Affleck into a bully, and taught us all to sizzle like bacon. “Dazed and Confused” gave us a ’90s indie movie look at 1976 with a drop-dead-gorgeous cast, hot muscle cars, and one-liners that made their way into all of our lives.

This episode taught the Shat Crew a lot about ass-paddlings, high school sororities, and Texas sports culture. And it reminded us of magical keggers, the older kids who helped us fit in, and what it was like to stay up all night with what felt like an eternity of life ahead of you.

Was Wooderson an ephebophile or a righteous dude? Was life in the ’70s better than life today? What did Ash do with boys in the Louisiana swamps? Find out in this edition of Shat The Movies.
