Last Action Hero Quote: “Well I’m sorry to disappoint you but you’re gonna live to enjoy all the glorious fruits life has got to offer – acne, shaving, premature ejaculation… and your first divorce.” – Jack Slater

Arnold Schwarzenegger considered “Last Action Hero” the beginning of the end of his film career. After a string of blockbusters, Arnold had a flop on his hands.

“Last Action Hero” — a self-referential parody of every action movie that made Arnold’s career — didn’t sit well with fans who didn’t know what to make of it. Oh, and it was competing with a little movie called “Jurassic Park.”

But there’s a lot to love about this cinematic oddity: intentionally painful puns, boundless cameos, purposefully ridiculous action sequences, and Arnold being Arnold.

Gene gets a little too cerebral. Kerri reveals her obsession with fart jokes and hatred for AC/DC, and Big D brings the best Schwarzenegger impressions in the business in this Big Gun of a Shat The Movies episode.

I’m glad to hear that we weren’t the only ones drinking the ‘Last Action Hero’cool-aide. The only thing that blows my mind is Kerri not liking AC/DC’s contribution to this amazing 90’s soundtrack.

Honestly I’ve come to a cross roads with you guys, i love ya, all of ya!!(except gene) you use to be the only thing i like about going to work was catching up with the fellas cuz you were the only other people who i know who likes films as much as i do, but i just can’t stand the way you guys don’t give anything that is clearly a classic, not a good score! Like yes independence day isn’t exactly the Shawshank redemption, or like a good Denzel film, but its still INDEPENDENCE DAY! (jus an example) i duno whether o listen to this one cuz its one of my favorite films and i duno whether you’ll just be shitting on it all the way through like you usually do with my favorite films, no these 80s and 90s films weren’t masterpieces! But that’s what made them all so amazing!! Starship troopers wouldn’t of been a better or a worse film had it turned out differently, it is what it is, and genes half woman half idiot moaning about complexities and oh its so gross that men use to be that way, Jesus man get a grip, look i still like you guys, you just don’t seem to like any of my films, but don’t listen to me what do i know, thanks for doing the podcast guys, means alot, P.s.sing me to sleep big D
