Listener Scott O was disappointed to see #RepoMan (1984) excluded from the Pantheon of Shat. As a result, he mailed in an envelope of money initially earmarked for his son’s graduation to hear the Shat Crew review the coming-of-age film for suburban white punks.

Rog and Big D steal a 1964 Chevy Malibu and cruise the streets of Los Angeles, searching for hidden messages of a movie that’s best known for its surreal overdubs of profanity when broadcasting on basic cable. Rog praises the training program at Helping Hands Acceptance Corporation while Big D confesses his addiction to watching tow truck repossessions on YouTube. The Shat Duo both respect Miller’s quest for the truth concerning extra-terrestrials.

So, strap on your most oversized earrings and cue up your favorite punk album as we travel to the United Fruitcake Outlet for the latest STM episode.

Plot Summary: “Repo Man” After being fired from his job, Los Angeles slacker and punk rocker Otto (Emilio Estevez) lands a gig working for an eccentric repossession agent named Bud (Harry Dean Stanton). At first, Otto is reluctant to work as a repo man, but he grows to love the fast-paced job. After learning of a Chevy Malibu that has been given a $20,000 price tag, Otto embarks on a quest to find the car with the beautiful Leila (Olivia Barash), who claims the trunk’s contents are otherworldly.
